Funeral DirectorBlaire Bouchard, a lifelong resident of Plainville, graduated sixth in her graduating class and in the top five percent from Plainville High School in 2011. She was the 2011’s class president and was involved with various clubs. Highly school spirited, Blaire was a member of Plainville High School’s cheerleading team all four years she attended. Blaire always had an interest in funeral service, which drove her to further her education and attend Lincoln College of New England, formerly Briarwood, where she earned her A.A.S degree in Mortuary Science in May 2014 and her Bachelor's Degree in Funeral Service Management in May 2016. Blaire joined the Bailey team as the funeral director/embalmer apprentice shortly after graduation in 2014. Blaire has been on the dean’s list every semester and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She is also the former Vice President of the college’s Mortuary Science Club. Prior to joining the Bailey team, Blaire worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress at Friendly’s, located here in Plainville. Blaire enjoys spending time with family and friends and can find fun in doing just about anything. She loves meeting new people and spending days at the beach.
Funeral DirectorPaul is a native of Waterbury and a 1983 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Having always had an interest in funeral service, Paul enrolled at New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Boston and graduated in 1990. In 2008, he achieved the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP). He is an active volunteer at St. Mary Magdalen Church and School in Oakville, where he is a communicant and a former member of the school board. He is also a volunteer for Acts 4 Ministries in Waterbury, where he helped organize an annual winter clothing drive. He has also been a volunteer for the Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry, where he helped organize an annual food drive. Paul is also a member of the Plainville Lions Club. His hobbies include cooking, reading, and golf. Paul and his wife Dawn reside in Thomaston with their two sons, Matthew and Ryan.
Melissa McCarthy was born and raised in Bristol, graduating from Bristol Central High School in 1999 with her CNA certification. After working in the health care industry for a little more than a year, Melissa realized her true calling was in funeral service. She then went on to graduate from Briarwood College, Southington in 2004. Prior to graduation, Melissa became employed with Bailey Funeral Home in 2003, and has been serving the Plainville community ever since. Melissa has been active in many Plainville organizations including but not limited to the Plainville Choral Society, Main Street Community Foundation and the Plainville Soccer Club. She is also a member of St. Matthew Church in Forestville. Melissa’s hobbies include music theatre, crochet, baking and being the best wife and mother possible. She currently resides in Plainville with her husband Aaron and their two sons, Jack and Maverick.
Funeral Assistant/Maintenance SupportBob was born in New Haven and was a lifelong resident of Cheshire, prior to making his current home in Waterbury. He is a graduate of Cheshire High School and Naugatuck Valley Community College. He is the former owner and operator of GutterWorks, LLC. Two years ago, he joined the Bailey team and currently serves as the Director of Maintenance and Security. Bob is a life member of the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department, having dedicated over 20 years of service and held the position of Treasurer of the Department. Bob is also a past president of the Watertown Jaycees; he resided in Watertown for four years. Bob and his wife Carol have a son, Jonathan, who resides in Cheshire with his wife Barbara and their two children, Catherine and A.J. Bob and his wife love to take cruises and cook, and especially enjoy spending time with their family.

Robert B. Ciotto Sr. was born in Hartford, Ct and has been a Plainville resident since 1995. Robert was active as coach in the Plainville Little League and Soccer organizations for 13 years and was President of the Soccer League for 5 years. Robert was a member of the Inland Wetlands commission, during which time, he served as Secretary for 2 years and Vice Chair for 4 years. He also served on the Plainville Town Council. He is a member of the New Britain Elks club and Italian Club in Kensington, CT. Robert has worked in the insurance industry for over 37 years. He has 3 sons, Robert Jr., Kevin and Justin. Robert enjoys golfing, bowling, kayaking and spending time with family and friends at his lake house on Red Cedar Lake in Lebanon CT. Robert joined the Bailey family in 2017.
Funeral AssistantDick retired from the Connecticut Light and Power Company in 1994. During his career of more than 30 years, he was the Work Management Coordinator in New Britain and Operations Analyst for the Cheshire District. He was also a former President of the Bristol AARP Chapter #3249. Currently, he is President of the Jensen’s Activity Club in Southington and an instructor in the AARP Defensive Driving Program for the Senior Centers in Southington, Plainville and New Britain. He resides in Southington with his wife Phyllis, and they have three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Dick joined the Bailey family in 2008.
Funeral AssistantPaul is a graduate of St. Anthony High School in Bristol and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Central Connecticut State University. Paul has worked in the men's apparel business for more than 30 years. He is currently a retail consultant and occasional store nanny to area retail stores. He and his wife Susan are native to this area. Paul joined the Bailey family in 2009.
Funeral Assistant"Bart" has been in the monument industry for more than 30 years and is currently the owner and operator of New Britain Monumental Works. He joined the Bailey team in 2010. He lives in Wallingford with his wife and children. When he's not busy working, Bart enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Dave was raised in Plainville, graduating from Plainville High School in 1972. Dave spent most of his working career in manufacturing and retail management, most notably with Radio Shack. He is currently a bookkeeper at a local firm. Dave enjoys playing golf and singing with his church worship team. He also enjoys watching the Red Sox, Giants football, and UCONN basketball and is active with the local Relay For Life. Dave lives in Plainville with his wife Dorothy and has 2 daughters, Amanda and Emily. Dave started with Bailey's in 2009 and, after a brief hiatus, rejoined the Bailey family in 2016.
Ryan is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and is a resident of Thomaston. He is currently continuing his education and his hobbies include classic cars. Ryan Joined the Bailey team in 2017.
Funeral Assistant, GardenerSince 1959, Lee has been a resident of Plainville, where she and her husband Bill raised their family and continue to reside today. Lee was employed with the New Britain Herald for many years, and upon her retirement, joined the Bailey family. For more than 15 years, she has been a comforting presence at the door greeting guests and has tended to all of the gardening around the funeral home grounds. She was raised in Northern Maine and speaks French fluently. Lee enjoys gardening, listening to all types of music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral AssistantHoward was born in New Britain and has been a Plainville resident since 1950. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he retired from Northeast Utilities after 42 years of service. Howard served his community for 28 years as a member and retired Chief of the Plainville Fire Department. He joined the Bailey family in 2008.
Funeral AssistantA resident of Plainville since 1934, Barbara became acquainted with many people through her the barber shop in town that her father owned for 34 years. Barbara knew the founding members of the Bailey family and has had the pleasure of working at Plainville’s oldest business for over 21 years and through four generations, thus becoming a familiar face for those who visit the funeral home. In addition, she was employed at the Hospital of Central Connecticut for 24 years. Barbara enjoys crocheting, traveling to Maine to visit family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
