Vernon W. Belanger

Vernon W. Belanger, of Unionville, formerly Plainville, passed away at home on January 8, 2018. He was born in Chapman, ME on May 13, 1943.

He built and managed Shady Oaks Assisted Living in Bristol for more than 40 years along with his wife, Kay. He was the son of the late Vera McLaughlin Belanger and William D. Belanger. He leaves behind his wife, Kay (Garren), whom he had been married for more than 53 years. Also, three sons: Ronald W. Belanger, Michael I. Belanger, and Tyson F. Belanger. He is survived by his brother, Dale and his sister, Deborah Jawin-Sheak.  He leaves his four grandchildren: Kiana and Cameron Belanger and Benjamin and Jenne Belanger; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Gary and his sister, Adrienne Perron.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Shady Oaks Assisted Living Resident’s Fund, 344 Stevens Street, Bristol, CT 06010.
