Priscilla Adine (Miller) Usher 88, of Naples, Florida formerly of Farmington, CT passed away July 20, 2018 at Brookdale Nursing Center in Naples. She was the loving wife of the late John C. Usher who died June 5, 2005. Priscilla and John were married in 1997 in Naples.
Priscilla was born March 23, 1930 in Plainville a daughter of the late George E. and Viola (Haggerty) Miller. She was a 1948 graduate of Farmington High School, attended Hartford Secretarial School and graduated from the Connecticut School of Banking in 1974, where she later served on the Management Development Committee for several years. Priscilla was an employee of Farming Savings Bank for 43 years, starting as a teller/clerk in 1947 and retired in 1990 as Corporate Secretary. From 1977 until 1981, Priscilla served as the Assistant Treasurer of the Farmington Cemetery Association. She was also a member of the Women’s League at Royal Wood Country Club in Naples.
She leaves her nephews, George Jr, William and Donald Miller, her niece, Kathleen, her step children, Stephen “Spike” Usher of Cape Coral, FL, William G. Usher of South Carolina, James R. Usher of Pennsylvania and Gail Arnold of California. She was predeceased by her brother George R. Miller and her sister Myrtis M. Andrews.
A graveside service in celebration of Priscilla’s life will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Farmington. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ 2900 County Barn Road Naples, Florida 34112. The Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville has care of arrangements.
