Marjorie P. (Brackett) Radcliff

Marjorie P. (Brackett) Radcliff, 95 of Bristol passed away Monday June 10, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Leonard H. Radcliff.

Marjorie was born February 18, 1924 in Saco, Maine a daughter of the late George W. and Alice G. (Merrill) Brackett and was a longtime Bristol resident. She attended schools in Maine and had worked for many years as a nursing assistant in Maine as well as at New Horizons in Unionville and the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Marjorie enjoyed bowling, playing cards and trips to the casinos, but mostly loved traveling with her family and spending winters with her husband Leonard in Bushnell, FL.

She leaves her daughters, Carolyn A. Cross and Paullette F. Cross both of Bristol, Althea L. Chretien of Lyman, ME and Tammy L. Richards and her husband Daniel of Saco, ME, her brother Wallace Brackett and his wife Betty of Palm Coast, FL, her son-in-law David Campbell of Biddeford, ME, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and Godchildren. Marjorie was predeceased by her daughters, Diane Radcliff and Joann Campbell as well as two brothers, six sisters and her sons-in-law.

Family and friends may gather at the Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services in celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
