Margo Ann (Menjivar) Roberts

Margo Ann Roberts, of Kensington, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Margo was born in White Plains the daughter of the late Ellis and Marion (Lanni) Menjivar. She was a graduate of Elmsford High School, Elmsford, N.Y. and attended Business School in White Plains. She worked for Bell Telephone Co. and Busch Jewelers before getting married and moving to Connecticut with her family. Margo worked briefly for New Britain Collections before deciding to stay home and continue her full time career of raising her family. She was an avid fan of the UCONN Girls basketball team and the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching the games with her husband.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years Richard (Dick) Roberts and her five sons, Joseph of South Windsor, Louis of Berlin, Tim of Plymouth, Chris of Berlin and Richard of Enfield, their wives and nine grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Margo’s life will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church 94 Broad Street in Plainville. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery in Berlin. The Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville has care on arrangements.
