Lorraine (Sirois) Chamberland

Lorraine (Sirois) Chamberland, 86, of Plainville, passed away Monday June 25, 2018 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain surrounded by her adoring family. She was the loving wife of the late Warren Chamberland.

Lorraine was born January 29, 1932 in Frenchville, Maine a daughter of the late Wilfred and Mattie (Cyr) Sirois and was a longtime Plainville resident. She had worked at Peck Spring, retiring after many years of service. Lorraine loved spending time with her family and was a Communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville.

Lorraine leaves her sons, Roy Chamberland and his wife Glenda of East Lebanon, Maine, Paul Chamberland and his wife Paula of Southington, Alan Chamberland and Gary Chamberland both of Plainville, her daughters, Linda Mears and her husband Gary of Catskill, NY, Joyce Chamberland, Nancy Chamberland and Alice Chamberland all of Plainville, her brother Roger Sirois and his wife Claudette of Florida and Maine, her sisters, Joan Hebert and her husband Reginald of St. David, Maine and Rita Dumond and her husband LeRoy of Florida and Maine, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Roland.

Funeral services in celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. from the Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville and proceed to Our Lady of Mercy Church 94 Broad Street in Plainville for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Plainville. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
