Gary D. Masse

Gary D. Masse, 60 of Plainville, passed away Friday December 29, 2017 at his home.

Gary was born June 12, 1957 in Hartford a son of the late Herman and Yvonne (Violette) Masse and was a lifelong Plainville resident. He attended E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain and was a graduate of Plainville High School. He was the Co-owner of H & N Construction of Plainville for many years. Gary was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was an avid bowler and pool player, having been a member of several leagues. He was also a Communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church.

Gary leaves his brothers, Melvin Masse and his wife Anne-Marie of Florida and James Masse and his wife Joyce of Plainville, his nieces and nephews, Dwayne, Heather, Robin, Michael and Scott and many grand nieces and nephews whom he loved unconditionally. He was predeceased by his brother Daniel, his sister, Marie and his life partner, Lynn M. Swiridowsky.

A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church 94 Broad Street in Plainville. Burial in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Plainville will be held in the spring. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
