Frances F. Fournier

Frances F. Fournier, 87, of Bristol, formerly of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her daughter’s home on Friday, April 28, 2017. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 32 years, Henry Fournier, who predeceased her in 1985.

Frances was born on August 16, 1929 in Hartford, daughter to the late Frank and Mary (Maturo) Fargnoli. She was a resident of Rocky Hill for many years prior to residing in Bristol for the past year. Always true to her religious faith, Frances was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Plainville, where she created a special bond with Pastor Benson and his wife, Bonnie.  In her former years, she loved getting together with her sister and taking trips to the casino and going shopping. She had a keen eye for fashion, always dressed beautifully and decorated in jewelry. Above all, Frances adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Frances leaves behind her daughter, Pamela Gutaukas; her sons, Henry and Steven Fournier; her brother, Mickey Fargnoli; her sisters, Angie Garland and Pauline DiNicola; and her grandchildren, Henry, Christine, Peter, Julie, Seth, Rebecca, Emily, Jessie, and Nick.

A Service in Celebration of Frances’ life will be held on Friday, May 5 at 1PM at the First Bible Baptist Church, 12 Granger Lane, Plainville. Calling hours will be held at the church on Friday afternoon prior to the service beginning from 12PM until 1PM. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville is assisting the family with arrangements.
