Ferdinand J. Jaworski

Ferdinand J. Jaworski, 79, of Colchester, formerly of Plainville, passed away in the comfort of his home on Saturday, January 6, 2018. He is now reunited with his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret (Jerzewski) Jaworski.

Ferdinand was born on August 5, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, son to the late Bernard and Edith (Kulisz) Jaworski. He was a longtime resident of Plainville prior to moving to Colchester recently. A proud American, Ferdinand served our country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Ferdinand was an Architect and member of AIA.  He was very well respected by many having mentored many people throughout his career. He was a man of strong Christian faith and enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, and model railroading.

Ferdinand is survived by his daughters, Catherine Francini and her husband, Albert, of Colchester, Julie Norris and her husband, Allan, of Colchester, and Margaret Crocker and her husband, Marc, of Broken Arrow, OK; his sister, Deena Jaworski, of Falls Church, VA; his grandchildren, Kristina, Jessica, Marc, Luke, and Jennifer; and many other extended family members.

A Celebration of Ferdinand’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. Burial with military honors will follow in West Cemetery, Plainville. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home between 9 and 11 AM prior to the service.
