Cynthia Ann (Bochan) Healy

Cynthia Ann (Bochan) Healy, 76 of Plainville passed away Sunday June 25, 2017 at Apple Rehab of Farmington Valley, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Thomas F. Healy, III.

Cynthia was born February 4, 1941 in New Britain, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Damiano) Bochan. She attended New Britain Schools and had worked for many years at Deli’s Restaurant. She later worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Metal Technology Finishing. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 574 Ladies Auxiliary as well as the American Legion Post 33 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Plainville. Cynthia was an avid bowler and was a member of several area leagues. She enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino and Florida, as well as vacationing at the Finger Lakes in New York. But mostly, she enjoyed traveling to visit with her children and spending time at the beach with her family.

Besides her husband Thomas, she leaves her son, Gregory Grey of Newport Richey, FL, her daughters, Lisa Jones of Plainville and Nancy Winstead of Ovid, NY, her stepson, Thomas F. Healy, IV of Longmeadow, MA, her sisters, Loretta Tabor of Plainville, Kathy Alderman and her husband Ray of Plainville and Paulette Burgess and her husband David of Bristol, her brother-in-law Brian Daly of Florida, her sister-in-law Gaye Nese of South Windsor, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Glen Grey and her sister Jean Daly.

Funeral services for Cynthia will be celebrated on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville to Our Lady of Mercy Church 94 Broad Street in Plainville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Plainville. Family and friends may gather at the funeral on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 825 Brook Street Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
