Charles R. Hollow

Charles “Charlie” Richard Hollow, 66, of Plainville passed away in the comfort of his home on Saturday, June 8, 2019. He was the loving husband of Judith (Alcantara) Hollow.

Charles was born in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1952, son to the late Edward James and Jane Christine (Hartman) Hollow. He resided in Plainville for most of his life. Prior to his passing, Charles was a chemist for 35 years and was formerly employed by McKinney Products Co- ASSA ABLOY. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Charles liked hanging out with his friends at a local bar over beers and football.

In addition to his wife, Judith Hollow, of Plainville, Charles is survived by his stepdaughter, Alyssa Alcantara, of Stamford, his son, Charles Hollow Jr., and his siblings, John, Janice, Barbara, and Shirley, all of Pennsylvania.

Per Charles’ wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville is assisting the family with arrangements.
