Bernardino L. Sarra

Bernardino L. Sarra, 92, of Southington, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Countryside Manor of Bristol. He was the loving husband of the late Kathleen (Connor) Sarra.

Bernardino was born May 20, 1926 in New Britain, a son of the late Leonardo and Florence (Motola) Sarra. He was educated in New Britain schools and proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army, serving in Japan during the Korean War being honorably discharged in 1952. Bernardino was employed as a plumber/pipefitter for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for many years.

He leaves his brother, Edward Sarra and his wife, Doris, of Southington, his sister, Elizabeth Burns, of Wallingford and his nephew, Joseph Sarra, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service in celebration of Bernardino’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 3PM at West Cemetery 180 North Washington Street in Plainville. There are no calling hours. The Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville has care of arrangements.
