Tammy Ann Garewski, of Plainville CT, passed away at the age of 52 on March 20th, 2023 after an unforeseen medical issue. Tammy was the wife of David A. Garewski and mom to their two children, Davia and Alexa Garewski. Tammy was raised in Plainville by her late mother Dawn (Zompanti) DeBay.
She was a graduate of Plainville High School and earned several degrees including a degree in culinary arts where she graduated with high honors. She received her accounting degree at Charter Oak State College. After working for various establishments, Tammy found the job she loved at the Trantolo and Trantolo law firm in Hartford, CT where she was recently awarded employee of the year for her dedicated efforts.
Above all, Tammy was a loving and caring wife and mother, and extremely devoted to her entire family. She was able to juggle her busy work and family life which included breeding her beloved Golden Retrievers. In addition to her witty sense of humor, her family and friends appreciated and admired her exceptional culinary skills and the delicious meals she prepared.
Besides her husband and daughters, Tammy leaves her sister Lisa (Brenkus) Minor and niece Makayla Minor and nephew Zachary Minor, her aunt Elise Zompanti and her companion Adrien Lagassie, uncle Brian Zompanti, brothers-in-law Jeffrey Garewski and his wife Andrea and Gary Garewski. She also leaves her nephew Daniel and nieces Alison, Katie, and Taylor Garewski.
Tammy's family will receive friends and visitors on Thursday, March 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. A funeral remembrance will be private at the family's convenience.
