Paul Neill Tribute

PLAINVILLE -On Saturday, August 6, 2022 Paul James Neill of New Britain, CT, beloved son of the late William and Jeanne (Gabes) Neill of New Britain, passed away at the LTACH Care One @ Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, New Jersey, after a short illness. Paul was born in New Britain CT on October 19, 1960. He was 61 years old. Paul was the youngest of five siblings.

He attended grade schools in Plainville, CT and graduated from Plainville High School in 1979. Following graduation, Paul attended the Hartford Technical Institute studying electrical engineering, worked as a machinist, then at the age of 21, a life changing accident left him unable to continue.  After two hard years of rehabilitation, he attended Tunxis Community College, earning an Associate Degree in Business. While attending Tunxis, Paul volunteered in the Computer Lab helping students. After graduation he accepted a job at Qualidigm in Wethersfield, CT as a Technical Support Engineer.  He remained in that position for 28 years, after which he created his own business. Paul was proficient in refurbishing computers.

In earlier years, Paul loved to work on cars, was a lifelong New York Yankees fan, loved rock music, enjoyed playing cards and loved vacationing at Cape Cod. One of Paul's favorite memories was a trip to Las Vegas made possible by friend Michael Payton, where they visited the Grand Canyon, Death Valley and the Vegas Strip. Paul was a hard worker and never complained despite obstacles, was caring, patient, and always met you with a smile. Our grief is great, and we will miss him forever.

Paul was predeceased by his loving parents, William and Jeanne (Gabes) Neill, his maternal grandparents, John and Catherine (Reisinger) Gabes  and his paternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth Jane (McIndoe) Neill. He leaves behind four siblings, sisters, Valerie J. Neill-Nietsch, husband Barry Nietsch & niece Brianna of CA, Sandra K. Neill, Ben A. Buller & niece Brittney A. Buller, of Plainville, brother, William J. Neill of New Britain and sister, Mary A. (Neill) Hoffnagle, husband Davis & niece Laurel, of New Hartford.
