John Bonalli Tribute

John Bonalli, 97, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Carolyn (Harris) Bonalli. 

John was born August 11, 1923 in New Britain, CT, son to the late Giacomo and Emilia (Romeggiti) Bonalli. John graduated from New Britain High School and Goodwin Technical School. 

John was a veteran of World War II having served honorably as a staff sergeant in the US Army Air Forces where he was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and EAME Theatre Campaign Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars.

After leaving the Army, John worked as a plant superintendent at Emhart for 40 years. In his free time John enjoyed wood working and making wine. John was a jack of all trades. He could DIY any and every home project. John was an history and current events enthusiast and an avid New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed road tripping to Texas and all throughout New England. John was devoted to his family and was always there to help whenever anyone needed him.

John leaves behind his daughters, Celeste Raboin of Plainville and Laura Bonalli, of Deep River; his grandchildren, Jason, Meghan, Sarah, Jill, and Nathan; his great-grandchildren, Madeleine and Vera.
