Therese Rogers

Therese M. Rogers, 86, of the Forestville section of Bristol, passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, February 18, 2018. She is now reunited with her loving husband of 64 years, Howard S. Rogers, who predeceased her in 2016.

Therese was born on November 15, 1931 in Hardwick, Vermont, last surviving daughter to the late Leo D. and Eualalie A. Michaud. She was a 1950 graduate of Plainville High School. Therese led a very simple life and she enjoyed tending to her family and home.

She is survived by her children, Richard L. Rogers and his wife, Dori, of Huntington, Karen R. Leupold and her husband, Richard, of Newington, and Gail R. Gable, of Richardson, TX; four grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services in honor of Therese’s life will begin on Thursday, February 22 at 10 AM from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Church of Saint Matthew, Forestville. Burial will be held in Forestville Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Therese can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
