Pauline Musshorn Klimek

January 14, 1921 ~ April 10, 2017 (age 96) 96 Years Old


Pauline Musshorn Klimek, 96, of Plainville passed away on April 10, 2017 at Apple Rehab in Plainville. She was born on January 14, 1921 in Mt. Olive, Illinois, and was the daughter of Agnes (Garrity) and Henry Musshorn. She was the widow of her beloved husband, Adam Klimek, of Bristol. She leaves two step sons, George Klimek, of Bristol, Greg Klimek and his wife, Barbara Klimek, of Bristol and their daughters, Erica and Jenna Klimek.

Pauline is survived by her sister, Ann Krupinski, of Plainville, and sister-in-law, Genevieve Musshorn, of Bristol. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Musshorn, Henry Musshorn, and Joan Musshorn. She leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Pauline retired from SNET after 36 years of service. She was a veteran of WWII serving at the Edgewood Arsenal US Army (W.A.C.) in Maryland. She was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. After her retirement, she spent many years volunteering at the Bradley Memorial Hospital, The American Red Cross Blood Drives, The Plainville Food Pantry, The Plainville Little League and the Plainville High School Project Graduation program. Pauline was a member of the Plainville Chapter #4146 AARP, and a Life Member of the New Britain Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

The family wishes to personally thank Dr. Jonathon Pendleton for his compassion and caring for Pauline for the past 38 years. We also wish to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers at the Apple Rehab in Plainville and the staff at Village Gate in Farmington.

Pauline was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauline’s memory to Our Lady of Mercy Church or the charity of your choice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad Street, Plainville. Calling hours will be held on Monday morning prior to the mass from 9 AM until 10 AM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville. Burial with full military honors will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Plainville.
