Jason Penta

Jason Penta, 47, of Plainville passed away on April 19, 2017. He was born on March 7, 1970, son to Belinda May, of Plainville, and the late Gregory Penta.

From the age of 3, Jason spent his days at his family’s business, Penta Woodworking, located in Plainville. He attended local schools graduating from Plainville High School in 1989. Following high school graduation, Jason officially joined the family business as a master carpenter. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle.

In addition to his mother, Belinda May, Jason is survived by his daughter, Toni Penta, of Southington; his brothers, Steven Penta and his wife, Cari, and their son, Nikolas, of Plainville; Justin Catucci and his wife, Lynne, and their children Nora and Daryl, of New Hartford; and Christopher Catucci and his wife, Amanda, and their children, Cole and Parker, of Wilton; his stepmother, Janet Catucci, of Plainville; his special  uncles Bill, Ken, and Tony; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Gregory Penta, his grandfather , Peter Penta, and his grandmothers, Eleanor Sodergren May and Barbara Jean Boraviac.

A Service in Celebration of Jason’s life will be held on Friday, April 28 at 7 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home between 5 and 7 PM on Friday evening. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
