Herve E. Bosse

Herve E. Bosse, 79, of Plainville, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the West Hartford Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the loving husband to Corrine (Landry) Bosse.

Herve was born on July 7, 1938, in St. Agatha, ME, son to the late Joseph C. and Deline (Chasse) Bosse. He grew up in Maine, graduating from St. Agatha High School in 1956. He was a resident of Plainville for over 15 years and a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. A proud American, Herve served our country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed as an electrician for several companies, including New Britain Machine and Pratt & Whitney, retiring from Stanadyne in 2006. Herve was a longtime member of Saint Jean’s in New Britain. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Herve will be missed dearly by his family.

In addition to his wife, Corrine, Herve is survived by his sons, Lonnie Bosse, of New Britain, Scott Bosse, of Plainville, and Devin Bosse; his sisters, Joan Oliveira, of Plainville, and Jeanne Cyr, of Madawaska, ME; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Tucker, Tanner, and Cameron. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Sara.

Funeral services in celebration of Herve’s life will begin on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 9 AM from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville for a Mass of Christian burial being held at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville. Burial with full military honors will be held on Friday, January 12 at 11 AM at the CT State Veterans’ Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 8 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
