Elizabeth A. "Bettye" (Trowbridge) Moore

Elizabeth A. (Bettye) Moore, 83, of Plainville, beloved wife of the late James E. Moore, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones.

Bettye was born on February 1, 1935 in Margaretville, New York. She was the daughter of the late Addison and Hazel Trowbridge. She worked various jobs, as well as taking care of her family.

Bettye is survived by her five children and their spouses, Danny Moore and his wife, Linda, of Meriden, David Moore and his wife, Roxanne, of Plainville, Steve Moore, of Plainville, Mary “Chris" Couture, of Plainville, and Andy Moore and his wife, Lisa, of Plainville. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Shane Moore and his wife, Karen, Heather Moore, Kyle Couture, Kayla Couture, Marissa Moore, A.J. Moore, Tyler Moore, and Brianna Moore and 2 great-grandchildren, Cameron Moore and Rylee Rosado.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Hospital of Central CT and Home Care for their wonderful care during her final days.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 18 from 5 to 8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville and on Monday, February 19 from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. A service in celebration of Bettye’s life will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Bettye will be laid to rest with her husband in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
