Diane O. (Dube) Chamberland

Diane O. (Dube) Chamberland, 74 of Bristol, passed away Thursday June 29, 2017 at Bristol Hospital. She was the loving wife of Leonide J. Chamberland.

Diane was born October 9, 1942 in Lille, Maine a daughter of the late Lewis and Irma (Doucette) Dube and was a longtime Bristol resident. She had worked as a machine operator at General Electric in Plainville, retiring after many years of service. Diane enjoyed bowling and crocheting, but mostly she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Diane was a Communicant of Saint Ann Church in Bristol.

Besides her husband Leonide, she leaves her son, Bruce Chamberland of Bristol, her daughters, Karen Chamberland and Donna Cyr both of Bristol, her sisters, Kathleen Poitras of Florida, Phyllis Hart of Bristol and Jean Sirois of Maine, her grandchildren, Carl Chamberland, Stephanie Cyr-Engro, Jacob Chamberland and Courtney Chamberland, her great granddaughter, Sophia Engro and many nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her son, Bryan Chamberland.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Diane will be celebrated on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Ann Church 215 West Street in Bristol. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Bristol. There are no calling hours. If desired memorial contributions in Diane’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society 825 Brook Street Rocky Hill, CT 06067. The Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville has care of arrangements.
