Welcome to the memorial page for

Daniel J. "Danny" Coughlin

February 27, 1958 ~ April 3, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Daniel John Coughlin "Danny", born February 27, 1958 to the late Robert Jr. and Helen (Deegan) Coughlin, passed away peacefully Monday, April 3 surrounded by his loving family.

Dan led an abundant and beautiful life, traveling to many exotic locations such as Hawaii, Caribbean, Florida and Europe. Dan was an active member of PARC and participated in Special Olympics.  An avid bowler, swimmer, fisherman Dan loved all sports.  The New York Yankees and Giants were his favorite teams and he loved the Hartford Wolf Pack.  He would be seen howling and growling at the games.

A gentle soul, Dan leaves behind to mourn his passing anyone and everyone who ever met him, including his brother David, his wife Carolyn and nephew LCpl Quinn Coughlin, with whom he made his home. His adoring sisters, Meg Fascendini (John), and Heidi Coughlin. In addition, he leaves several nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom were very close to Dan. Gail Lamothe and the Albee, Brennan, Christiansen, Hawkins, Mazurek, and Sauvron families were all part of Dan's extended family. As were all his close friends at PARC. Dan was predeceased by his parents and his beautiful sister, Kim Phillips.

Dan never judged, only loved.  His sweet temperament, joy for life and hilarious jokes will be missed by all.

A special thanks to CCARC, his DDS caring caseworkers, Linden St. School, Amberwoods, Masonicare Hospice, Denise Ciano and Bonnie Mazurek.
