Jean F. (Studniarz) Cullis, 82, of Plainville, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Paul Cullis, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Windber, PA on June 4, 1932, Jean was one of ten children to the late Jan and Mary (Tkac) Studniarz. She met and married the love of her life, Paul, and raised a loving family of four. Jean and Paul enjoyed close to 20 years wintering in Florida, and were longtime communicants of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Jean centered her life around her family, with hosting holidays being one of her favorite pastimes. A devoted wife, mother, and fun-loving adored grandmother, she will be greatly missed, leaving many cherished memories.
In addition to her husband, Paul, she leaves her children, Mitchell Cullis and his wife, Pat of Wallingford; Diane Kemp and her husband, Rodger of Minneapolis; Terri Segarra and her husband, Paul of Berlin; and Lori Lenkeit and her husband, Paul of S. Windsor; her nine grandchildren, who were her pride and joy; her brother, Jacob Studniarz of MA; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St, Plainville. Committal services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Those who wish, may remember Jean with contributions to the Plainville Community Food Pantry, PO Box 233, Plainville, CT 06062.
