Deborah Ann Colella, 62, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 6, 2014.
Born at Otis Air Force Base in Falmouth, MA on February 27, 1952, she was the only daughter of Angelo and Barbara (Mastrianni) Colella of Plainville. Upon graduating from Plainville High School, Deborah went on to attend Baypath Junior Women’s College in Longmeadow, MA, from where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. A woman of great beauty inside and out, she entered the modelling industry for a brief time where she had the honor of cutting the grand opening ribbon at the West Farms Mall. Deborah also was a elementary substitute teacher in Plainville where she made relationships that have lasted to this day. With her vibrant personality, she also held a 20 year career as a successful sales representative for Central Connecticut Communications. Deborah had a lifelong love for Scottish Terriers, always making them a part of her family. A devoted mother and daughter, she will be greatly missed, leaving a legacy of great strength and love for her family.
In addition to her parents, she leaves her son, Rudy Colella of Bristol; and many friends and business associates.
A memorial service in celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Friday evening at 8 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St, Plainville. Family and friends may gather prior to the service, form 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Deborah may be remembered with contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
